I got attracted to caregiving when my grandfather was diagnosed with skin cancer and bone cancer. I cared for him until his demise. One day he wasn't having a good day at all and that day boy did we have a time. I remember when I got him ready for bed and told him goodnight he pulled my hand and said "baby girl you have a gift I see you doing this for a long time and don't let nobody tell you otherwise ". One rewarding satisfaction I enjoy caregiving is the satisfaction of making a difference in someone's life. I get to build relationships with my patients and their families and experience personal growth.
